Adult Formation
St. Francis Xavier has a wide range of activities for adults. We have adult education opportunities, where you can start your faith journey in Catholicism through RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation) or deepen your faith and connecting with other members of the parish, or join a bible study. There are ministries and groups/organizations, where you can enjoy fellowship with fellow parishioners and participate with occasional projects that serve the common good of the parish and community.
No matter where you are on your journey of faith, you are welcome in our Parish family. Take a look at our ministries and various groups. Our desire as a parish is to help each person ENCOUNTER Jesus Christ, GROW as intentional disciples, and then to lead each of us to GO by serving others and sharing the Good News. If you have any questions or don’t know where to start, please contact the parish office at (405) 372-6886.
Married Couples Group
A small group of married couples who meet regularly, usually monthly, in each other’s homes to encourage and support one another as they share the joys and struggles of their call to the holy vocation of marriage, parenting, and living within the domestic church. Each group is unique in their discussion topics, types of meetings, and even minor details of timing and location. Therefore, groups are built to fit your stage of life best. It’s a great way to build community and bless your marriage at the same time.
If you and your spouse want to join, fill out the form and email it to sfx@sfxstillwater.org.
Luke: The Story of Salvation Fulfilled
The Gospel of Luke takes you on a journey that begins with the foretelling of John the Baptist’s birth and culminates in the Ascension of Jesus. Along the way, you will witness key moments in salvation history, including the Annunciation; the Nativity; Jesus’ baptism; his public ministry; the Last Supper; and Jesus’ suffering, death, and glorious Resurrection. The Gospel’s powerful prose and beautiful details will deepen your desire to draw closer to Jesus and be transformed by his teachings.
The Gospel of Luke continually reveals how Jesus is the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies. With Luke: The Story of Salvation Fulfilled, you will experience a new joy as you see how God has been faithful throughout the ages and how God’s promise can guide you in your everyday lives.
